I've had good luck with making 2 nylon snakewhips within the past year and I've now finally decided to take the leap and make my first kangaroo hide bullwhip. In an effort to learn as much as possible and maximize what I can get out of this, I put together this website. First and foremost, it is a personal journal, through words and photographs, detailing the steps I'm taking in making this bullwhip. After the whip is finished I'll be able to look back over my notes and easily identify the areas that can be improved upon. Secondly, with this website, other more-experienced whipmakers will be able to see the steps I'm taking and offer help or make suggestions on improvements or differing techniques.

Besides help from other whipmakers and the various books and videos I have listed on the "supplies" page, the whip I am making is primarily based on the procedure used by Bernie Wojcicki in his "How To Make A Bullwhip" tutorial DVDs. For more info on the DVDs, click here.
